Above Prosthetic Designs are Dan Horkey’s contribution, and were displayed at the 75th 2010 Annual American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). Following, they were on tour between 2010-2012 with the traveling Exhibition Wounded In Action Advancements in Arts.

It’s funny that I used to get upset when people would stare at my prosthesis, but now with the Flash and Superman art work people will be astonished.

Dan Horkey’s Patent Pending, unique painted systems, solid and metallic colors; chrome spray systems; fine art airbrushing designs; and hand brushed designs became Approved options in 2009 by the Veterans Administration PSAS for Veteran Amputees with prosthetic limbs and orthopedic braces.

Helping Wounded Warriors and Veteran Amputees through non-profit organizations and donations. As of November 2012, Wash. D.C. VA Central Office curtailed our options, and since then, most VA Hospitals are not participating in our Program Services. For this reason, I’m seeking to form partnerships with large and small businesses, military organizations, non-profits and celebrities to help take care of financial funding for Veterans.

Dan Horkey is doing all he can to continue helping our severely injured Veteran Amputees. Since 2008, Prosthetic INK, a GTOPI Company has helped enhance the quality of lives for 12 veterans across the US. Prosthetic Ink was awarded 12 purchase orders from Veterans Affairs (PSAS) and Logistics at Dept. of Defense (D.O.D).
However, since November 2012 we have not served a single veteran in our files. Our file continues to grow with hundreds of Veteran Amputees that were denied our Prosthetic Custom services.

Can you help Donate, sponsor a custom design for Veteran(s) in our file that was denied our services by their VA Hospital?

Normally, people are a little hesitant when they see someone wearing a prosthetic, but when people see my flame design; it’s an automatic icebreaker. It’s a huge step towards interacting with folks and letting them know I’m doing fine.”

I chose to have a patriotic theme with our flag, a Marine Corps Emblem and my dates of service on my prosthetic to show everyone that I have served and I am very proud of it. My pride goes up every time people see it and the reaction is “OH WOW IS THAT COOL.” The work done by offers a unique one of a kind prosthetic and that is just what I wanted.

Mark Beall (Ret. USMC)

Dan, I want to thank you and your guys for the outstanding work you did on my leg. Being able to sport my Vietnam Army Airborne Ranger badge and Phoenix tattoo has made me less self conscious about the leg…in the 40 years I’ve been an amputee, I’ve never worn shorts…I just went out a bought two pair.

The Congressmen asked what law or statue is prohibiting VA Central Office from continuing to provide Veterans with Dan Horkey Approved Options. We are still waiting for a reply from Central Office of Veterans Affairs, Prosthetic and Sensory Aids (PSAS) in Wash. D.C.
